History & Legends about Kedarnath
After the war of Mahabharata war the Pandavas brother came here to meet Lord Shiva on the advice of sage Vyasa, they wanted to wash the sins that they have killed their brother in war, but Lord Shiva not wanted to forgive them, so for this he turned into a bull hide among the cattle on hill. Pandavas managed to find him he tried to disappear himself sinking himself headfirst into the ground, one of the brothers grabbed his tail forcing him to appear before forgiving them. Pandavas brothers first built the Kedarnath temple. Shiva body find in four portions collectively knows as Panch Kedar head of the bull find in Pashupatinath temple Nepal.
